Database Administration is a department of the Computer Systems Division within ICT. Our main focus is to maintain and operate the major database systems at New Mexico State University.

We support over 60 databases on a variety of database management and operating systems for a number of university software applications. This includes providing a variety of administrative services ranging from creating, backing up, restoring, monitoring, and tuning databases.

We also ensure data is available to various application systems by performing preventative database maintenance. If there is a university-wide software application that you use, odds are we maintain and support that back-end database.
