How do I log out of WebCT?
To log out of a WebCT session, simply click the logout link located in the top right hand corner of your course.

How do I create a NMSU Username so I can log on to WebCT?
To log on to WebCT you must create a NMSU Username. Once created, the NMSU Username becomes your Username for WebCT. Instructions for creating your NMSU Username can be obtained by clicking here.

How do I log on to WebCT?
Go to http://webct.nmsu.edu Enter your NMSU Global loginID and Password.

What settings do I need to change in my browser?
You will need to set your cache to reload every time, and you will need to enable Cookies and Java and JavaScript.

How do I test my browser to ensure that I have the proper settings?
WebCT offers a browser tuneup page. You can access the page to see if your browser settings are properly configured. You can also check to see if your browser version is supported. In the browser tuneup page, select your operating system (Windows or Macintosh). Once you select your operating system, select your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mosila), and scroll down to see (1) the browser versions that are supported and/or (2) the browser settings required to run various WebCT tools.

Can I change my password?
At NMSU, your password can be changed by accessing my.nmsu.edu and clicking on the My Account link located in the upper left corner.

Why can't I see my WebCT courses anymore?
You may have two records in the WebCT database. Please contact ICT Training Services at training@nmsu.edu.

My instructor says the he/she has added me to the course, why doesn't it appear in myWebCT?

What do I do if I can't access course content (Notes, presentations, materials etc.)?
Any content related problems need to be addressed with your instructor. Please do not call the Help Desk or ICT Training Services. Ask your instructor if the content in question requires special software to open. Ask your instructor if he/she has conditionally released the content meaning that certain criteria has to be met for you to see the content.

What do I do if I can't see material that is supposed to be in the Content Module?
Any content-related problems need to be addressed with your instructor. Please do not call the Help Desk or ICT Training Services. Ask your instructor if they have updated the Student View in the Content Module.

If I log in to WebCT successfully but I don¹t see any courses, what do I do?
Contact your instructor so that he/she can add you to his/her course.

I logged in to WebCT just recently, but now I can¹t log in. What do I do?

I still have old WebCT courses on the MyWebCT page. Who can remove them from my view?
Contact the previous instructor and notify him/her that the course is still viewable.

What do I do if I can't see my grades?
Any content related problems need to be addressed with your instructor. Please do not call the Help Desk or ICT Training Services. Ask your instructor if he/she has added the My Grades tool option or if he/she has released the grading columns in the gradebook.
