Security, Policies & GuidelinesComputer Virus Scan PolicyThis policy requires any computer utilizing NMSU network infrastructure to have antivirus software installed and updated. Computer viruses are a regular occurrence on the NMSU campuses. All computers on campus should have anti-virus software installed and active. The anti-virus software should be updated regularly to insure continued protection and should be set for automatic update. The software can be acquired through many vendors as well as the NMSU bookstore. In addition, Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) has a campus site license available that provides anti-virus software at very low cost from several vendors. Please call the ICT Customer Service Center at 646-1840 or email help@nmsu.edu for any assistance or information about acquiring anti-virus software.
