Register for DHCP

Start a web browser (either Netscape or Internet Explorer), a dynamic host registration page should appear, otherwise you may need to type "netreg" in the location bar of the browser. If you still do not get the registration page, check the settings above.

Now enter your SSN and six digit pin #, which is the same pin used for class registration. If you do not have your pin or if you do not remember, call the Customer Service Center at 646-1840 for assistance.

Enter a hostname. The hostname can be anything you like but each hostname must be unique. If you duplicate a hostname that has already been selected by another user you will be notified and you will need to select a new one. The hostname can contain both letters and numbers but must begin with a letter.

The field labeled "ethernet address" should already be filled in. If it is blank or incorrect please contact the Customer Service Center.

Submit your query, wait for 15 minutes, and reboot your computer. If you have problems submitting, cross check your social security, pin and hostname and press "Submit Query" again. If you cannot submit, please call the Customer Service Center for assistance.
