3. Now fill out the following info:

Account Type = IMAP
Description = Generally a name indicating who's account this is
Email Address = Your full NMSU e-mail address
Full Name = Your full name
Incoming Mail Server = imap.nmsu.edu
User Name = Username portion of your NMSU email account.
Password = Your NMSU e-mail password
Outgoing Mail Server = smtp.nmsu.edu

4. If it does not give you an option for smtp.nmsu.edu for outgoing mail server, then you will need to click on the Options button. If it does give you the smtp.nmsu.edu option, select it and move to step #6.

5. Now in this new window, type in “smtp.nmsu.edu” in the Outgoing Mail Server box. Do not alter any of the other settings in the window and then press OK.

6.Press OK out of all the windows and then close the preferences menu. Now, close Mac Mail and restart it.
