[last updated on 18 Dec 1998] Adding a user The format of the command to add a user to your list is:
ADD list password address user-name
For example, for a list named "mylist" with an owner password of "lemon"
add mylist lemon jsmith@nmsu.edu John Smith
will subscribe John Smith to MyList with the address jsmith@nmsu.edu and
John will receive a welcome message from ListProc.
Note: Multiple names may be placed on one line if enclosed in curley
braces {}.
Getting Help You can send a 'help' command to Listproc to get a
complete list of the owner-commands. Subscribing To subscribe yourself to your listserv, use the following
format:
SUBscribe list-name your-name
Deleting a user To delete a specified user from a list use the
following format:
Multiple names may be placed on ONE line if a space is placed
between user addresses. If the optional "quiet" is added before the
command line, the user will NOT
be notified.
Leave the subject line blank; type the command in the body of the message.
E-mail requests to listproc@nmsu.edu
NOTE: You can put more than one command in an e-mail request, but each
command should be on a separate line.
