Computing and network access is available to students, faculty and staff both on and off campus. High-speed Internet access is available in computer labs and dorm rooms, and several buildings on campus support wireless access. Dial-up internet access is available for off campus students, faculty and staff.

Cabling and Wiring: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; ICT provides the physical infrastructure underlying data, voice and video services on campus.
Directory Services: ICT provides telephone directory services for departments and individuals among the NMSU community.
DNS Services: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; ICT Network Operations Center (NOC) provides DNS services for all devices connected to NMSU-net and assigns host names and corresponding IP addresses. THe DNS database allows IP addresses like 128.123.3.4 to be translated into host names such as www.nmsu.edu.
Domain Name Hosting: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; ICT NOC provides hosting services (http://www.yourorganization.org) for domains related to official University activities.
Domain Name Registration: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; ICT NOC assigns all subdomains for colleges, schools and departments within the University.
Checs-Net: The University participates in New Mexico's Higher Education Intranet which provides high speed connections to the Internet and Internet2.
Internet Access: NMSU ICT offers various ways to access the Internet from on or off campus.
Internet2: NMSU is a member of Internet2, a consortium of universities working in partnership with industry and government to develop and deploy network applications and technologies.
IP Addresses and DHCP Assignments: ICT NOC provides IP-address management services for IP addresses in use at the University, including DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) assignments.
Residence Hall Network: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; The Residence Hall Network, provides direct Internet access and connectivity to the University campus network for residents living in on-campus residence halls.
Dial-Up Access: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; Dial-up access to the Internet is provided allowing full off-campus access to University computing resources for NMSU students, faculty, and staff.
ICT Telecommunication and Networking Services (TNS): Provides reliable, efficient and cost-effective data, video and voice communications for NMSU.
NMSU-net: NMSU-net, the campus computer network, provides Internet, Internet2 and networking services for NMSU.
NOC: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; ICT Network Operations Center provides critical data networking services for the New Mexico State University community.
Wired Access: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; Ethernet (wired) network ports allow members of the NMSU community to access NMSU-net, the campus network, across campus using network-capable laptops and portable devices.
Wireless Access: Place a Workorder or Troubleticket; Wireless access points allow members of the University community to access NMSU-net, the campus network, in many buildings and common areas across campus using network-capable laptops and portable devices.
