SPSS Software Site License
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
SPSS is a full-featured product line for all stages of the analytical process including planning, data collection, data access and management, analysis, and deployment.
The SPSS product line available with the NMSU site license includes:
- SPSS Base
- Tables
- Regression Models
- Advanced Models
- Trends
- Conjoint
- Categories
- Amos
The SPSS site license allows NMSU employees to install SPSS software on licensed NMSU owned computers. Only NMSU faculty, staff, and registered students may use the SPSS software. SPSS software may be used for NMSU business only. Use of the SPSS software for profit, private gain, or other commercial use is illegal.
Home use of SPSS software is allowed on a home computer, property of an NMSU faculty/staff employee if the NMSU faculty/staff employee has a licensed SPSS software copy installed on their NMSU owned office computer.
HOW CAN I GET A LICENSE AND SOFTWARE MEDIA?
SPSS licenses and media are available from the Information & Communication Technologies, Instructional Support Services Department located in the Computer Center Building, Room 143. Licenses may be purchased by NMSU faculty/staff with an NMSU departmental account number. Please see the Software List for software pricing information.
Faculty/staff may borrow media for a period of three working days at no charge after purchasing a license. ICT/ISS will keep your NMSU faculty/staff ID until the software media is returned.
HOW DO I GET UPDATE CODES?
SPSS software requires that you install update codes annually. If update codes are not installed prior to October 1st each year, your SPSS software will no longer work. An annual maintenance fee must be paid prior to requesting update codes. Unless you cancel your license prior to June 1st, your NMSU departmental account number will be billed for annual maintenance fees each July. Update codes are available after September 1st each year.
