- How can I get software media?
Winzip software is an archive utility for Windows. Winzip allows you to zip (compress) files to allow for easy transport, copying, or storing and unzip compressed files that you have downloaded from the internet or that have come to you as attachments. Winzip can handle Zip, TAR, gzip, and CAB files. For more information regarding Winzip software, visit the Winzip website.
The Winzip license allows NMSU employees to install Winzip software on their licensed NMSU owned computers. A license must be purchased for each computer on which the software is installed. Click here for pricing. Please see the Software List for information on what software is available and pricing.
NMSU does not have a home use agreement for this software.
HOW CAN I GET SOFTWARE MEDIA?
Winzip licenses and media are available from the Information & Communication Technologies, Instructional Support Services department located in the Computer Center Building, Room 143.
Licenses and media may be purchased by NMSU faculty/staff with an NMSU departmental account number. Faculty/staff may also borrow the media for a period of three working days at no charge after purchasing a license. ICT/ISS will keep your NMSU faculty/staff ID until the software media is returned.
