NMSU Voicemail Basic Functions Guide

Accessing Your Voicemail Box

To access your voicemail from your NMSU office phone dial 6-7777 ( if you are using an on-campus phone other than your own dial 6-7777 and then follow the instructions below for accessing voicemail from an off-campus phone, as you will first need to access your own voicemail box before continuing to the messages ).

Enter your security code
To listen to a message press 5
- To back up while listening to a message press 2
- To go back to the beginning of the current message press 22
To delete a message press 3 during the message
To save a message press 7 during the message
To skip to the next message press 5 during the current message
To go back to a previous message press 15
To exit your mailbox at any time press 9
To end your session completely and hang up press 99
Please Note: You do not have to listen to the instructional messages completely before moving on. Simply press the key corresponding to your desired action at any time during the message.

Press #
Enter your mailbox number (e.g. 6-XXXX)
Enter your security code
To listen to a message press 5

Listening to Saved Messages

Access your voicemail box (see instructions above)
To access the saved messages menu press 192
Once you have accessed the saved messages the instructions for listening and deleting messages is the same as for new messages

Creating or Changing Your Personal Greeting

Access your voicemail box (see instructions above)
To access the personal greeting menu press 4
To record a new greeting press 6
After speaking your greeting press # to end recording

To access the help menu for instructions on more advanced functionality press 00
