Welcome to the ICT/NMSU Security web site. This site is provided to help you understand the types of IT security problems we see at NMSU, how you may report IT related security problems, and how to keep your computer from being involved in a security incident.

We are the primary clearing house for IT related security at NMSU. We try to work with our many constituents to provide a healthy network for the NMSU community. Some of our responsibilties include investigating alledged copyright infringement, investigating alleged computer crimes, managing computer virus spread, email SPAM, and many other computer related abuse issues. In essence, we are the clearing house for IT security issues and policies at NMSU.

We work closely with the Personnel Office, EOE Office, Student Discipline, General Counsel, NMSU Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies.
