ITAL Institute for Technology Assisted Learning

ITAL

What is ITAL?

ITAL is a short, nine-day institute over a period of three weeks that provides NMSU faculty with training and tools needed to integrate distributed learning technologies into traditional and distance education courses. One session will be held this year. This session is limited to fifteen faculty. The date for this session is:

Session 1: June 1-19, 2009

In support of the growing interest in distance education at NMSU, two types of applications may be made for the upcoming session:

  • Individual application – Application is made by an individual faculty member. Faculty may be affiliated with any NMSU campus. Use the online application at http://www.nmsu.edu/~training/individual.html

ITAL is sponsored by the College of Extended Learning, Educational Technologies, NMSU Library Services, Media Technology, the Teaching Academy and Information and Communication Technologies.

Program Applications - The program application is for departments intending to integrate distributed learning technologies into degree or certificate programs. As part of the application process, the departments will indicate the number of prospective faculty participants and the priority order in which they should be chosen. To apply as a program, refer to the program application instructions.

Individual Applications – The individual application is for faculty intending to integrate distributed learning technologies into their courses. To apply as an individual, use the online application form.
